Making sense of a world that usually doesn’t.

A calm place to examine the patterns we live inside, and what happens when we actually look at them.

Most of us hold on to explanations we never bothered to question.

What becomes possible once that starts to change?

Everywhere you look, someone is loudly explaining how the world works.

Very few people are actually thinking.

Most are just defending whatever framework they inherited from their culture, their politics, their profession, or their fear.

If you’ve ever paused and thought, “Wait
does any of this actually add up?” you’re not alone.

The problem isn’t a lack of information.

It’s that almost nobody stops long enough to question the frame they’re standing in.

When you look underneath an explanation instead of arguing inside it, things get clearer fast. Not because you’ve found Truth, but because you’ve removed the parts that don’t make sense.

That shift changes how you relate to health, authority, technology, and each other.

Most conversations happen inside a story.

I’m interested in what happens when you look at the structure underneath the story.

Across episodes, I explore recurring patterns that show up in different domains:

  • Terrain-based health (the body without rulers)
  • Voluntaryism (society without rulers)
  • Technology as tools, not dependencies
  • And how we think, decide, and relate as humans

Different topics. Same underlying logic.

When you examine the pattern instead of defending a position, something subtle shifts.

You stop getting pulled around by other people’s assumptions.
You think more clearly.
You react less.
You make choices without needing certainty first.

The result isn’t a new belief system.
It’s a way of living that feels coherent instead of borrowed.

This podcast is for people who feel the mismatch between what they’re told and what they actually observe.

For people who’ve stepped outside the mainstream explanations but don’t want to replace them with dogma, gurus, or doom.

For people who care more about intellectual honesty than being right, and more about morality than politics.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re the only one noticing that something doesn’t quite add up, you’ll feel at home here.

Each episode starts with a question, an observation, or an assumption worth examining.

The topics vary:
health, freedom, technology, attention, thinking, meaning.

The intention stays the same.
Look underneath the explanation.
See what’s actually there.

I’m David Barbarisi.

I spent years as a software engineer, inside the health, tech, and institutional systems I was told were normal.

When the explanations I’d been given stopped lining up with reality, I started questioning the assumptions underneath them. About health, authority, technology, and what it means to live well.

This podcast is where I share what I’ve noticed, what I’m still figuring out, and the questions that keep the inquiry honest.

This isn’t a news show, a self-help podcast, or a place to get confirmation for whatever team you’re on.

If you need agreement, you might get frustrated here.

If something here helps you think more clearly, great.
If not, that’s fine too.

Episodes come out when I have something worth exploring.

Most are solo.
Some include guests whose perspective adds something useful.

You can listen in any order. Each episode stands on its own.

If this resonates, subscribe and join whenever you’re curious.

Occasionally, I’ll share updates from my own life, projects, or whatever I’m exploring at the moment.

Once in a while, I’ll bring someone on if their perspective adds something useful to the conversation.

Nothing formal. Nothing required. Just context when it helps.
